Amazon Sues Perplexity After Appeals Court Lifts Agent Shopping Ban

Amazon banned Perplexity's agentic shopping feature and sued Perplexity, saying it repeatedly asked the company to stop agents shopping on Amazon. A judge ordered Perplexity to stop, but an appeals court overturned the order in August. Amazon has since filed an amended complaint in Amazon.com Services LLC v. Perplexity AI Inc.
