Interpol operation arrests 1,024 and rescues 2,070 trafficking victims across four continents

Operation Global Chain, a June 8–12 coordination involving 40,000 officers from Interpol, Europol, Frontex, and national authorities across Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe, arrested 1,024 suspects and identified 2,070 victims and potential victims. Most were trafficked for sexual exploitation; 20% were forced into criminality. The operation initiated 465 follow-on investigations. Participating nations included the UK, US, France, Germany, Spain, Nigeria, Thailand, and Vietnam.
