Arcare set care home fees based on what residents could afford, not what services cost, lawsuit alleges

A Federal Court class action filed in July 2026 alleges aged care provider Arcare extracted over $100 million from residents across 50+ facilities by charging mandatory daily fees calibrated to individual wealth rather than service value.
