NPCI Delays 0.4% UPI Merchant Fee Until After Diwali

The National Payments Corporation of India postponed its planned October 15 introduction of a 0.4% fee on eligible UPI merchant transactions above ₹2,000. The operator of the Unified Payments Interface said rollout will occur after Diwali, citing the festive shopping season, and gave no new date.
