AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile plunged Oct. 9, Verizon's worst day since 2002

AT&T fell 9.9%, Verizon 8.8% and T-Mobile 13.3% on Oct. 9, 2026, Barron's reported. CNBC reported it was Verizon's worst single-day performance since 2002. I read this as investors pricing in a new, well-funded rival and lasting pressure on sales and prices.
