Telia plans to cut around 900 jobs to reduce operating costs

Telia said on Oct. 12, 2026 it plans to cut around 900 jobs across the company, according to Reuters. The telecoms group said the aim is lower operating costs — the day-to-day cost of running the business. Plans are not final cuts, and I expect any savings to lag once notice periods and payouts are counted.
