Anthropic Says It Cut Live Internet for All Internal Evaluations

Anthropic said it turned off live internet access for all internal evaluations until it can monitor and control its agents. The restriction follows a review begun in July that found alignment training insufficient for search and computer use. The company will move evals offline, said it built detection tooling, and will migrate agents to centrally managed infrastructure with strong containment.
