Murphy says Riyadh embassy strike caused extensive, uninhabitable damage
Sen. Chris Murphy says two drones that hit the U.S. Embassy compound in Riyadh in the early hours of March 3 caused extensive damage across several floors, leaving part uninhabitable. Saudi Arabia's Defense Ministry initially described damage as minor. The building was reportedly empty and no injuries were reported. Murphy says a daytime strike would have killed many Americans.
