U.S. 10-year and 30-year yields hit 24-year highs

U.S. 10-year and 30-year Treasury yields rose to fresh 24-year highs on Oct. 7, Reuters reported, amid renewed selling of government debt. Yield is the annual return bond buyers demand; higher yields usually push up mortgage and business borrowing costs. I'm skeptical that Oct. 7's flat stock finish means investors have fully priced that drag.
