New York alleges TikTok gave thousands of teens and children who opted into Algo Refresh, its recommendation-reset control for unwanted or potentially harmful content, a nonfunctional version that left feeds unchanged. TikTok said it regularly tests features to validate experience. The case is one of more than two dozen state suits over addictive design for kids.
