Business urges ATO to reverse credit-card ban as ministers push for talks

Business groups want the ATO to reverse its plan to stop taking credit cards for tax from 1 December, saying small firms need it for cash flow. Ministers Clare O'Neil, Anne Aly and Andrew Charlton have pressed the agency to keep talking to business. ATO officials met business reps on 8 October. That's consultation, not a direction — yet.
