Bites, a 10-person pre-seed startup, lets diners order from around 300 Bay Area restaurants directly in ChatGPT for a flat $1 surcharge per order. DoorDash charges 15% to 30% commission per delivery order. In this author's view, that gap explains why agentic checkout merits attention despite questions over listings and data accuracy.
