Nobu sushi chef Ryo Uchimiya killed while sleeping in car before Malibu shift

Ryo Uchimiya, 51, a sushi chef who worked for Nobu for 25 years, was killed Oct. 3 in Malibu while sleeping in his parked vehicle ahead of his shift at Nobu Malibu. The Los Angeles medical examiner identified him as the victim. He was waiting for work to start when his car was struck.
