Google Pays Roughly 100 Publishers for AI Search Content in Pilot

Google is compensating roughly 100 publishers under its AI Contribution Pilot, tying payment to measured contribution to AI Overviews, AI Mode in Search and the Gemini chatbot. The pilot began less than a year ago. Digiday first reported the program.
