Senate Report Alleges Iran Uses Tether's USDT to Evade U.S. Sanctions

A Sept. 28 Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations report led by Sen. Richard Blumenthal alleges Iran relies on Tether's USDT as a "significant financial lifeline" in its "shadow banking network" to circumvent bank sanctions. Investigators say 84% of 846 sanctioned Iran-linked wallets used USDT exclusively or almost exclusively.
