Spain proposes eviction ban until 2030 amid housing protests

Spain's coalition government has proposed banning evictions until 2030, Health Minister Mónica García said on 29 September. She said the measures would bring relief to more than five million people. The plan follows protests over an 87-year-old's eviction in Madrid and still needs parliament's approval, where the government lacks a majority.
