Venezuela Grants U.S.-Led Firm 100-Year Rights to 17 Oilfields

Venezuela has signed an agreement giving a U.S.-led company 100-year concessions over 17 oilfields covering more than 65 billion barrels, over a fifth of its reserves. Trump called it 'the biggest oil deal in world history' and said the U.S. and Venezuela control more than 60% of the world's oil. Century-long control raises questions about sovereignty and enforcement.
