Apple Exploring Screenless Fitness Band to Rival Whoop

Bloomberg reported September 22, 2026 that Apple is developing a screenless fitness tracker to compete with Whoop. Described as a thin fabric band with sensor-equipped computing module, the project remains a "technology investigation" with multiple prototypes. Even if it proceeds, release would not occur until at least 2028.
