Trump calls Chagos handover 'terrible' and says Burnham will review deal

Mr Trump said the UK's Chagos Islands handover to Mauritius was "terrible" during his first in-person meeting with Mr Burnham in New York on Tuesday. He said the joint base on Diego Garcia is "strategically very important", particularly for US operations in Iran. He said: "I think the prime minister is going to be looking at [the deal]."
