Trump Plans Board With Veto Power Over NIH Grants

President Donald Trump is expected to order creation of a board to approve National Institutes of Health grants, with power to veto awards misaligned with his goals. The panel would include budget director Russell Vought and NIH chief Jay Bhattacharya and require unanimity. NIH is the world's largest public funder of biomedical research.
