Trained paramedics approved to prescribe 232 medicines

Health Minister Simeon Brown has announced trained paramedics will be able to prescribe 232 medicines. According to RNZ, the list covers common infections and treatments needed in urgent and community care. Hato Hone St John welcomed the move, with deputy chief executive Jon Moores describing the list as sensible.
