Police say 6,000 at Auckland march, organisers claim 35,000

Greenpeace said about 35,000 people joined the March for Nature in central Auckland on 19 September to oppose the government's proposed Conservation Amendment Bill. Police put the crowd at a maximum of 6,000 and reported no incidents. RNZ reported the Bill is intended to modernise management of conservation land and enable more development.
