Nine women found dead in Ekurhuleni over two months, police say

South African police have recovered the bodies of nine women in their 20s and 30s in Ekurhuleni municipality east of Johannesburg over about two months to Sept. 18, 2026. All nine were found in the same municipal area. Police have not established the cases are connected and continue to investigate.
