State Department Approves Possible F-35 Sale to Saudi Arabia

The State Department approved a possible Foreign Military Sale of F-35 Lightning II fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. The determination, dated Sept. 17, 2026 as Transmittal No. 26-69, authorizes notification, not delivery. The White House says future deliveries would strengthen the U.S. defense industrial base.
