S&P 500 rose about 1% in rebound after Fed-day drop as oil fell
The S&P 500 rose about 1% on Sept. 16, Bloomberg reported, rebounding after a Fed-day drop. Treasury 10-year yields — the benchmark behind mortgages and corporate borrowing — declined, which lifts bond prices. Lower yields can support stocks, but I’d treat one joint bounce with falling oil as relief, not a trend.
