Alzheimer's Society proposes 18-week dementia target for England

The Alzheimer's Society has proposed England's first dementia waiting-time target. It said people referred with suspected dementia should receive an accurate diagnosis, care plan and access to treatment within 18 weeks. The charity said no such target currently exists. Health is devolved, so the proposal would apply in England only.
