Pennsylvania Ties CDC Measles Aid Request to Recognition of Four Deaths

Pennsylvania has begun seeking CDC emergency Epi-Aid, epidemiologic field support, for its measles outbreak, but will withdraw the request unless the agency publicly recognizes four measles-associated deaths. Health Secretary Debra Bogen set the condition in a Wednesday letter to CDC Director Erica Schwartz, saying non-recognition undermines the state's response.
