Australia to Stop Most Foreign Students Bringing Family Members

Australia announced foreign students will no longer automatically bring family members, Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said. Exemptions cover students already in Australia, applicants from Pacific and South East Asian countries, and PhD students. The restriction is part of stricter rules targeting international students, visa hoppers and backpackers to curb immigration.
