Trump Tells North Carolina Voters to Treat Senate Race as Vote on Him

President Donald Trump told supporters in Gastonia, North Carolina on Sept. 16 to treat the Senate race as a vote on him, saying "I just want you to go out and pretend I'm on the ticket, because essentially I am." He was campaigning for Republican Michael Whatley against Democrat Roy Cooper for retiring Sen. Thom Tillis's seat.
