UK Trade Unions Back Israel Boycott for First Time

The Trades Union Congress, representing more than 5.3 million workers, voted at its September 2026 Brighton conference to back the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement for the first time. Put forward by Artists' Union England, the motion calls on the UK government to impose wide-ranging sanctions on Israel and to end UK arms deals and military cooperation.
