Unite presses Healey to end income tax threshold freeze to 2031

Unite, the UK's second-biggest union, said Chancellor John Healey should reverse the freeze on income tax thresholds until 2031. Then-Chancellor Rachel Reeves set the freeze in her last Budget. Labour-donor unions will meet Healey on Thursday to press demands ahead of his Budget on 28 October.
