India Summons Pakistani Diplomat Over Naval Collision in Arabian Sea

India summoned Pakistan's diplomat in New Delhi on Sept. 16 to protest a Sept. 15 collision between navies in the Arabian Sea. India's foreign ministry said a Pakistani ship hit an Indian warship in international waters. Pakistan had not commented as of Sept. 16. With no ambassadors since 2019, I see the summons as a contained warning to prevent escalation.
