Goldman, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley expect Fed rate hike September 15-16
Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan forecast a quarter-point Fed hike at the September 15-16 meeting, Reuters reported September 14. Morgan Stanley's Matt Hornbach also expects a 25 basis-point (0.25 percentage point) rise. Higher rates typically mean pricier borrowing and better savings returns. I remain skeptical forecasts equal decisions until the Fed votes.
