Valve Won't Ship Steam Deck 2 Without Efficiency-Preserving Chip Leap

Valve will not ship Steam Deck 2 until it finds a chip delivering a performance leap without significant cost to power efficiency and battery life, designer Pierre-Loup Griffais told IGN. He said Valve is working out "how and when" to deliver the handheld, with no release window. He answered "Not really" when asked if the hardware shortage changed that thinking.
