The DRC's Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak, confirmed at 515 cases by June 6, lacks a matching vaccine. The only available Ebola vaccine protects against Ebola virus, not Bundibugyo. Candidate vaccines remain in development. This absence forecloses ring vaccination—the strategy that contained recent EBOV epidemics.
