Singapore PM's benchmark salary to rise 64% in first political pay review for 15 years

Singapore will raise the Prime Minister's benchmark salary by 64 per cent, from S$2.2 million to S$3.6 million (about US$2.85 million), Reuters and the Associated Press reported. The Public Service Division said it is the first adjustment to political officeholder pay in 15 years. Existing ministers will receive only a one-off increase of up to 9 per cent from 15 October.
