Medicine labels to align with Australia, but food labelling held back by trans-Tasman rules

Regulations Minister David Seymour says over-the-counter medicine labelling will be aligned with Australia's requirements under a new digital labelling package. But food labelling changes will move more slowly because New Zealand's commitment to Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) means food labels cannot be adjusted unilaterally. Cabinet has agreed to progress the focused package.
