Alabama HOA Votes to Kill Protected Geese Without Federal Permit in Place

The Edgewater HOA Board in Madison voted 5-2 on June 13 to euthanize hundreds of Canada geese on Lady Ann Lake. Canada geese are protected under the federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act, requiring a USDA depredation permit to kill. As of reporting, the board had not filed any permit application.
