Three strikes in eight months: resident doctors reject 2024 pay deal as settled
The BMA has announced a five-day strike in England from 15–19 June 2026, the third major walkout since November 2025. The action contradicts the September 2024 settlement in which resident doctors accepted a 22.3% pay rise, voted 66% in favour, and ended 15 months of strikes. The resumption suggests the underlying dispute over pay trajectory and contract terms remains unresolved.
