Twitch's AI Training Opt-Out Is On by Default — Most Streamers' Content Feeds Amazon's Models

Twitch added a "Training for Generative AI" toggle under Settings > Security and Privacy, found by The Verge on August 12, 2026. It was enabled by default, so streams, VODs, clips, chat logs, and channel media from streamers who never touch that setting flow into Amazon's generative AI training. Disabling it covers only generative model training; AutoMod, monetization, and discovery AI continue using channel content.
