England and Wales courts ban Meta smart glasses on entry

His Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service will confiscate Meta smart glasses from anyone entering judicial buildings across England and Wales. Unlike smartphones, which may enter if not used to record, smart glasses receive no conditional exception. Glasses are returned on exit. New York and Maryland courts have imposed comparable bans. The devices sold 7 million pairs last year.
