New vape shops in England will need council planning permission under Burnham plans

The government plans to require every new vape shop in England to obtain local council planning permission before opening, BBC News reported. Ministers also plan to tighten the definition of a vape shop to stop businesses evading the rules by registering as general retailers. The measures apply in England only. Burnham said town centres had been "hollowed out" by decades of decline.
