Ford to launch free AI assistant for 8 million owners, no subscription required

Ford is rolling out an AI-powered assistant chatbot to its Ford and Lincoln mobile apps starting in the first half of 2026, targeting 8 million owners in waves. Linked to each customer's specific vehicle, it can answer questions from the owner's manual, surface live telemetry, and assess payload capacity from uploaded photos.
