RSC stages Game of Thrones adaptation at Royal Shakespeare Theatre

The RSC has premiered George R. R. Martin's 'Game of Thrones: The Mad King' at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, running 28 July to 5 September 2026. Duncan Macmillan adapted the source material. Michael Shaeffer plays Aerys Targaryen. The in-the-round production features life-sized armoured horses and puppetry. Tickets are on sale via the RSC website.
