UEFA, AFC and Concacaf demand FIFA president Infantino resign over World Cup stake sale scheme

UEFA, the AFC and Concacaf signed an open letter on 10 August demanding FIFA president Gianni Infantino resign. The three confederations, led by presidents Ceferin, Sheikh Salman and Montagliani, accused him of "trust broken through deception" over a privately backed scheme that attempted to sell an interest in the FIFA World Cup. They want an independent review outside football.
