Latin Quarter Takes World Sales on Dell'Acqua Debut 'Maltrato Animal' Before Edit Locks

Latin Quarter Distribution has acquired world sales rights to José Dell'Acqua's debut feature "Maltrato Animal," Variety reported on 10 August 2026. The deal closed after a rough-cut screening at Locarno's First Look pix-in-post section (7–9 August). The Hague-based sales outfit, led by Juan G. Castro, will represent the Uruguayan crime thriller to international buyers. Post-production is expected to wrap by end of 2026.
