Gloucester return Slater Cup to Kingsholm after one year at Villa Park

Gloucester will host next season's Slater Cup against Leicester at Kingsholm on the weekend of 27 March 2027, ending the Villa Park experiment after one year. The March 2026 fixture drew 24,298 — Birmingham's first Premiership rugby match — but ongoing Villa Park redevelopment forced the switch back to Gloucester's 16,000-capacity home. CEO Alex Brown has not ruled out larger venues in future.
