Berger's archive cataloguer publishes the biography Berger told him to wait for

Verso Books publishes Tom Overton's 384-page "John Berger: From Life" in September 2026. Berger donated his literary archive to the British Library in 2009 and chose Overton to catalogue it. Berger then insisted Overton wait years before writing the biography. The Guardian reviewed the book on 10 August 2026.
