Inaugural LA Jazz Festival Canceled on Opening Day, Postponed to 2027

Organizer Martin Ludlow confirmed the entire 17-day LA Jazz Festival was canceled on August 7 and postponed to 2027. He cited "significant, unanticipated last-minute public safety and municipal costs" tied to final permitting for the beachfront component. The bill had included John Legend, Janelle Monae and Parliament Funkadelic. Full refunds within 30 days were promised.
