Fernandez leads start to finish for British MotoGP win, 24 hours after sprint crash

Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse Racing) won the British MotoGP at Silverstone on 9 August 2026, leading from the opening lap and finishing 2.5 seconds clear of Jorge Martin. It was his second career victory — one day after he crashed out of the Saturday sprint race, which Martin won to extend his championship lead to 31 points. Martin started from pole but dropped to fourth with Turn One technical issues before recovering to second. Marco Bezzecchi took third. The next round is Aragon on 30 August.
